The apartment is at the end of a dead-end street, which transitions into forest after a few hundred metres. You can go on some great hikes from here. The surrounding area consists of gently rolling countryside with evergreen forests and meadows. Buchet itself is a little village without many facilities, mainly suited to people seeking a tranquil destination with peace and quiet. Bleialf, where you can go to do your shopping, is less than 5 km away. The town of Prüm, which holds a concert every Thursday evening in summer, is 13 km away. It also has a variety of restaurants, shops and cafes. This is a nice place to visit in winter as well. This part of the Eifel region is known as the Schnee-Eifel, meaning Snow Eifel, thanks to its winter sport area known as the Schwarzer Mann.
