From my spacious one-bedroom, ground-floor apartment, you can look out over a lovely pool area and delightful landscaped gardens. Three minutes leisurely walk will bring you to a magnificent white sand beach edging the gorgeous aquamarine waters, which surround the islands of The Bahamas.

The apartment is located in the sought after Lucaya area of Freeport, just one mile from the ever-popular Port Lucaya Marketplace with its lively atmosphere, colourful shops and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

The buildings of Viceroy House are two-storied, white-walled and blue-roofed and are set in neatly landscaped ground with palm and other tropical foliage. Atop one section you will find an attractive rooftop patio area in which the blue and white theme is cleverly continued with patio furniture and coloured plant pots.

The unit consists of an entrance hall, one bedroom with a king size bed and ample storage, a living/dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The rooms are light and airy with ceiling fans and air-conditioning and the kitchen is well equipped with excellent appliances. The living/dining room opens onto a good sized patio area with an outdoor dining set, comfortable seating and a barbecue grill - perfect for al fresco dining! As well as the King-sized bed, in the bedroom, there is also a portable baby bed. In the living room, the couch opens to become a comfortable queen-sized bed.

Laundry facilities are available on the complex. There is also a well-stocked library of paper-backs on shelves in the laundry room. Public buses are accessible just a little way down the street.
