Rental Details
This double story house is originally from a plantation area in Penang Island. The first house was built by Malays in the year of 1900. In 1920 they sold the house to a Chinese Hakka family, who then built a house in front in their own style. Both houses were linked by an internal courtyard.
As the surrounding area was quite poor, it was know as "Tua Chua" meaning the big house. The owners were the Cheong family who were both rubber and durian farmers. These two houses have now been converted into 6 units.
Plantation 5 has 2 bedrooms with a Queen Size bed in each room. It has also a living hall and 2 bathrooms with wooden bathtub and shower. (Located downstairs in Plantation House).
Continental Breakfast (Breads, Jam, Honey, Butter, Fruits, Yoghurt, Homemade Cake, Juice, Milk) is provided and placed in your fridge the night before.
