You are just 5 minute from Ashford Castle and its beautiful grounds. Here you can play golf enjoy the beautiful gardens or just relax at the waters edge or if you are feeling more energetic you can take the ferry to the island in the middle of Lough Corrib Inchagoill and visit the old monastery where the nephew of St Patrick is burried. You are also just 25 minute from Galway city and the town of Westport and I hour from Clifden in Connemara. It owes its name to the isthmus or 'narrows' from the Irish word cunga, which separates Lough Mask and Lough Corrib, two of the finest wild trout fisheries in Europe.
