In the winter you can leave the car, if there is enough snow, you can ski in and ski out. You have this ground floor detached chalet all to yourself, privacy guaranteed. The furnishings are modern and well cared for. You have a south facing balcony where you can enjoy the sun. The chalet has 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room with a charming wood stove. In the owner's nearby pub you can enjoy a meal and you can use the sauna for free in consultation with the owner. The hospitable owner will also provide fresh rolls if you wish. Turracher-Höhe is located 50 km northeast of Spittal a/d Drau at a healthy elevation (1763 m.) On one side of the pas you'll find the wild green mountain panoramas of rural Stiermark, and on the other the pleasure and warmth of Carinthia in the southern lake region of Austria. You might visit the Millstättersee or the Ossiachersee. Turrach itself also has a lake and there is the especially popular Nocky Flitzer, an alpine slide which will really remind you of an amusement park ride.
