Hagal Farm Rural Retreat 7 Bedroom

A lovely space that feels like an oasis of calm. This rustic house is nestled on the south slope of the Maughnaclea mountains, with breath-taking views over the Mealagh valley and Bantry Bay in the distance, Hagal Farm is surrounded by nature and the beautiful, wild landscape of West Cork.
Just 20 mins drive to Bantry town, the shelter of the mountains offer you a feeling of security and the lush green surroundings promise rejuvenation.

What's the house like?
The whole house (2 connected sections) can accommodate up to 18 people.

During the main season (May - Sep) we are also available for B&B, Full board or room only rental. We offer a wide range of health packages and treatments

Hagal Farm is surrounded by mature gardens including a swing for adults, barbecue area and you can take a wander in the neighbouring labyrinth.
The original Farm House has a large Conservatory/Sun Room, a large fully equipped kitchen, beautiful living room with an open fire. There is also a treatment room, just in case you'd like to get pampered!

The extension/guest annex has a large open sunny living space upstairs with amazing views of the valley, Kitchen and a Sauna .

There are 7 bedrooms in total, 4 In the annex and 3 in the main farm house.
In the annex all the rooms are en-suite and on the ground floor
Room 1 is a twin room
Room 2 is a twin/single
Room 3 has a double bed (Queen) and two singles
Room 4 has double (Queen) and a single

In the Main house there is a bedroom downstairs with a Queen Bed
Upstairs there are two bedrooms. One with two singles and a Double futon.
The other room has one single and a bunk bed.

Families with Young Kids
Please note that we have one High Chair and one Cot. We do not currently have any barricades on the stairs so please take note of this if you have babies or toddlers.

Bed Linen and Towels: We do supply all bed linen however we Do Not Supply Towels You can rent towels from us however.. please inquire when booking. 

What is there to do?
Treatments: You can order in therapists to pamper and spoil you. Hagal Farm was originally a health retreat. We have a fantastic team of therapists that can give you a wide range of treatments. Hagal Farm was a school of massage so our therapists are of the highest standard.
Gourmet Food: You can book one of our amazing cooks if you don't feel up to cooking or if you want a special celebration dinner. Our chefs are experts in vegetarian food and specialized diet, but can also make an excellent steak if required!

The nearest village to us is KealKill. It's around 7km away. This has one grocery shop and two pubs! :)
Bantry town is 13km from us and it has numerous shops, restaurants, bars, a large supermarket and a cinema. It also has a great Organic shop and cafe. This is our main town, and it's around 20 mins drive from the Farm. (Kealkill is around 12 min drive away)

Bantry House is a lovely old estate with beautiful gardens that you can visit. There is a golf course in Bantry and the local hotel has a leisure centre open to the public. There are loads of beautiful walks in the area, the nearest one is just on Hagal's doorstep, (sheeps head way) which continues out all along the peninsula. Glengarriff is a tourist town 24km away, which has lovely Irish tourist shops, beautiful old woodlands, boat trips to Garnish Island (Italian Gardens), Ewe Gardens and more.

Workshops and Courses: Hagal Farm is also a great place to host a workshop. In this scenario the Farm can sleep up to 20 people. Please contact us for more information.
