For an eventful trip, take either the train from Cascais (500m) to Lisbon, or the bus (500m) to Sintra.

If you are in a party mood, go to the Largo de Camões, with its various bars and restaurants. Here usually live music is on offer in the summer.
If you prefer the peaceful side, explore the streets uphill behind the Camões. Find small churches, quiet places with benches in the shade and so many typical small restaurants, located in small backyards.
