welcome to this privately owned holiday house in the village Achenkirch in the Tyrolean Alps, located close to the beautiful Lake Achensee and the ski resort Christlum. You will find here relaxation from daily stress in a house with a mix of traditional design, blended with modern interior in a beautiful location.

WINTER: The 'Christlum' SKI RESORT is the largest ski resort in the Lake Achensee area. The lifts, slopes, ski-rental and ski school are approx. 0.5 miles away from the house and accessible within walking distance (but attention, including a steep hill on which the house is located) or by a very short car ride for higher convenience. The region Lake Achensee has more than 70 MILES CROSS COUNTRY SKIING TRACKS, the access to 18 miles cross country tracks around the village Achenkirch is less than 500 yards away from the house. SNOW SHOEING and WINTER WALKS start directly from the house.

SUMMER: A public BEACH (on grass, not sand) with changing rooms, 2 beach VOLLEYBALL fields a lovely PLAYGROUND for children and possibility to hire pedal BOATS is just 1.5 miles from the house. Achenkirch has a SAILING SCHOOL and offers the possibility to hire sailing boats (please ask us before booking the house if you want to hire a sailing boat). On the other side of the Lake Achensee there are perfect spots for KITE- and WIND SURFING. The 9 hole GOLF place is close by, a 18 hole golf place is a short drive from the village (12 miles). TENNIS courts can be rented. Directly from the house there are endless opportunities for HIKING and BIKING along the Lake Achensee and up into the mountains.

FURTHER DETAILS TO THE HOUSE:

On the GROUND FLOOR, there is the main bedroom with a double bed and direct access to a large bathroom with separate shower and bath tub.

On the FIRST FLOOR, there is the second bedroom with a double bed and great views on the mountains directly from your bed. Besides the bedroom there is a second bathroom with a toilet and a shower. On the same floor are as well an open kitchen with a dining room, a fire place and direct access to the garden, terrace and barbecue.

On the UPPER FLOOR there is a large living room with a second fire place, comforable sofas, the television and access to the balcony with chairs to relax in the sun and enjoy the views. As one sofa can be used as a comfortable double bed, we may accept bookings with up to 6 persons (please ask in your booking request).

RELAXATION, SPORTS, HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Based on our experience, we think you will be particularly happy with your holidays, if you are a family with children and/or couples/friends wanting to enjoy the many possibilities for sports/hiking/skiing during all seasons and the great nature in this lovely valley in the mountains with the fjord-like Lake Achensee. Through the fresh mountain air you will be particularly tired during the first days of your stay and sleep a bit more than usually - but it is exactly this fact that will help you to recover completely from the stress of daily live and regain energy and finish your holidays with a feeling of being completely relaxed and regenerated.

FURTHER COMMENTS ON DOWNHILL AND CROSS COUNTRY SKIING:

1.) CROSS COUNTRY SKIING:

There is a large variety of very attractive tracks (70 miles) in the whole region, so that you will enjoy a weeks cross country skiing (and more) whether you are a beginner, intermediate or expert skiier. If you want mainly skating (not classic) tracks, the choice of tracks is a bit lower.

2.) DOWNHILL SKIING:

BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATES AND FAMILIES:

If you take a ski pass for more than 3 days, consider taking a ski pass not only for the ski resort Christlum, but the whole "Achensee Region" . There are two smaller ski resorts close by (Maurach & Pertisau) - with an amazing scenery and views on the lake, reachable by car or bus.

SKIING EXPERTS:

The Christlum ski resort provides some excellent runs - but is probably too small for you for a whole week of "every day skiing". You should consider taking the Achensee region ski pass for several days. Skiing a few days at Christlum ski resort + maybe a morning / afternoon in the two other ski resorts at lake Achensee. For a few other days, we suggest you move to the Zillertal, reachable by car - with EXCELLENT skiing in huge ski resort.
