Villa Nanin is a typical northern Argentine house, located in the charming village of Tilcara. Apart from the beautiful, breath-taking scenery, you will find a fortress called Pucara, which belonged to the natives and whose reconstruction can be visited every day. This wonderful site is located amid the Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared World Heritage by UNESCO. True paradise colored mountains, luscious cacti and sun covered landscape, is always surrounded by cheerful and friendly people. The house is five blocks from the main square, close to all activities yet far enough away to enjoy the necessary quietness of any trip. From the gallery that runs through the house, you will be able to see the dyed mountains in different colors, according to the position of the sun. Enjoy the bliss and serenity of our many gardens full of flowers, vegetables and fruit trees. Take refuge beneath the cozy shade of our massive Walnut tree offering the comfort of rest and relaxation and the opportunity to bask in the perfumed breeze of the Argentine air.
During the evening, our patio features a beautiful gazebo where the moon can be seen from all angles and it seems like the vast sea of stars are there, right within reach of your fingertips.
We have one room for six people with it’s own garden and another double room with two single beds. Both rooms have their own closets, heating and are decorated according to the landscape, with the colors and patterns of the creek. The house has two bathrooms, one with shower, the biggest bathroom housing an old bath tub, both with hot water 24 hours a day. The dining room is very spacious and comfortably arranged with tables, enlivened with music. The grill is always ready, whether you want to prepare a delicious barbecue or a home made pizza.
