Rental Details
Our house was built in between 1983 – 1984 by my grandparents upon the hill,with breathtaking views over the Bicaz Lake and Carpathian’s Mountains. It has always been our holiday house where we would spend all our weekends with family & friends, and my vacations since I was a child. After 2003, we've done many improvements without changing the essential elements of the house.
Together with my husband, Cristi and our beautiful little girl, Maria Cristina, we want you to come to visit us and make our rural home your own home. We will be available for you, for anything you need, and we will do our best to make your stay with us comfortable and unforgettable.
We want you to experience how it is to live in a typical and traditional Romanian house, wake up in the morning and breathe fresh air, enjoying beautiful views over the lake and the mountains, taste our local food and typical products, and of course visit all the natural surroundings of touristic interests.
The Cottage
My holiday house is located in the central-northern part of Moldavia, in the area of tourist attraction called "Izvorul Muntelui Lake"(Spring of the Mountain Lake). The cottage is situated in Chiriteni Village at 850 m altitudesurrounded by forest.Once you are here, you will be surrounded by nothing else than silence, and the chirping birds and animals in the neighbor’s yard(turkey, roosters, cows, horses).
Our house has a total capacity for 6 people. It has 3 double rooms with access on the terrace on the first floor, and a big living room with 2 sofa beds on the ground floor. There is 1 bathroom inside the house, a full equipped kitchen on the ground floor and a big terrace where you can relax or read a book.
We will be staying with you in the house either on the ground floor or first floor, in order not to disturb you. We will be preparing breakfast, dinner and also lunch upon request, in case you prefer to stay at the cottage instead of visiting the surroundings. We also offer a typical bbq in the garden!
Facilities inside the house: TV/satellite, a computer (no WIFI), a record-player with old international records and also a selection of books and games. Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
Surroundings:
We invite you to enjoy the amazing views from our terraces, enjoy with a book or just chill on the grass around the house. You can also enjoy, discovering our natural environment close to the cottage.
In summer, if you wake up early in the morning you may see squirrels walking on the fence and in the night you may 'play' with a hedgehog if you are lucky.
Sightseeing & Activities:
Close to the Cottage, there are several activities and excursions that can be organized.
Depending on the length of stay we can offer you a handmade tour and in case you don’t have a car with you, we will take you to visit all the beautiful places from our province.
- Activities: climbing, fishing, swimming, hiking and trekking.
- Excursions: National Park CheileBicazului(Bicaz Gorges), Red Lake(LacuRosu), Bison Reservation, Ceahlau National Park).
- Romania is well known for its beautiful Painted Monasteries. Here are some examples in the area: Voronet Monastery, HumorMonastery, MoldovitaMonastery, VaratecMonastery, SucevitaMonastery, BistritaMonastery, DurauMonastery,SIhastriaMonastery, HoraitaMonastery, etc.
Reservations:
We only accept accommodations for a minimum of two nights stay. The rate per night and room doesn’t include food & beverages.
We kindly ask confirmation of half board or full board previously from our guests, in order to have enough provisions, due to the distance to the closest supermarket.
