Rental Details

Perfect CBD Location! This is a spacious furnished and equipped city apartment with copious amounts of natural light, comfortably sleeps 2 people in a Queen Bed. So, if you (and your partner) want the convenience of a central location, where fantastic waterfront restaurants serving local fish and produce are within 2 minutes walk, you've found your second home. Hobart is a small city, so why not enjoy the culture and festivities that it has to offer, including across the park to Salamanca market, historic Battery Point around the corner (5 mins) or a lovely stroll down to Sandy Bay village (10 mins), or if you keep on going, head down to Lower Sandy Bay and enjoy the beach and playground (25 mins).

Or you could walk up to North Hobart (20 mins) to enjoy the mix of ethnic cultures and food, including Indian, Japanese, Thai and of course, Italian! And if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, rent a car from one of the 4 different car rental agencies which are 2 minutes walk from the apartment and take a drive down to the Huon Valley, or up to Mt. Field National Park or even over to the East Coast. A day trip to one of these destinations will surely make you look forward to coming home to your relaxing and spacious abode.

Guest Access

The building is a renovated solid Art Deco structure, with secure key entry and lift access to the apartment. Guests will have full access to this modern apartment and all services and amenities in the apartment, including, hair dryer, washing/drying machine, iron and ironing. WiFi is available at a cost and registered through Docomo). Sheets and towels are provided, but no toiletries. If the guest is staying longer than 3 days, then on the 4th day a cleaning and linen service is provided. WiFi is available for guests but it is a user pays service via DoCoMo (See WiFi networks available on your device to pay and access)

Interaction with Guests

Your will be the only people residing in this apartment, therefore you can expect full privacy. The only time you will interact with anyone is when the cleaner comes on the fourth day of your stay (that's if you do stay more than 4 days).

The Neighbourhood

This central location is fantastic. It is close to the CBD and parks, historic sites and the market life of Salamanca. And if you really enjoy fish or seafood, head down to the various seafood eateries along the waterside. You also have the convenience of renting a car from one of the 4 car rental agents in the next few streets, to be able to explore the local sites scattered around Hobart and beyond. By the way, there is no parking for cars in the building, but there is plenty of street parking alternatives.

Getting around

Public transport is available on the Metro Bus system. There are bus stops on both sides of the building and you may want to use one of them to travel locally. One of the stops is used as an Airport Pick Up and Drop Off point. Alternatively, apart from public transport, you can rent a car from one of the 4 car rental agencies in Harrington Street.

Other Things to Note

This apartment in the Mantra Hotel. It was purchased this year and I was living in it as a resident for the last 8 months. But now I am about to venture overseas for several months. As this apartment is no longer one of Mantra's properties, they are not responsible for guests staying in my apartment. If you have any problems, please contact the caretaker (Julia) for any issues. Also, please try to use the Sandy Bay Road entrance as it is easier to access the lift to the apartment.

+ More House Rules

Please DO NOT open the windows due to insurance issues in relation to height of the windows. The windows are locked permanently.

Also, there are various basic food items in the pantry and fridge. As a courtesy, could you please replace items if you use it completely. Thank you.

Lastly, this is a non-smoking and no pet zone.

By the way, if a fire and/or smoke alarm is raised due to the guests error, the call out fee ($800 approx.) for these emergency services will be deducted from the guest's deposit.
