Bedrooms
The Hideaway has one double bedroom, complete with bedside reading lamps, plenty of built-in wardrobe space and French windows opening on to a small balcony.

(If you wish to use the extra sleeping space provided, then the sofabed in the living room sleeps an extra guest. Please note, there is an additional cost for sofabed linen and towels which can be purchased when you book this property)

Bathrooms
The bathroom has been stylishly tiled and has a sliding-door shower unit, basin with large mirror, toilet and storage space for your necessities.

Living/Dining Area
The living/dining area, with French windows opening out onto the balcony, has a dining table to seat four and a sofa, which could sleep an extra guest. In the living area there is a TV with usb connection and a music/radio system as well as wifi to satisfy your technological needs.

Kitchen
The open kitchen is separated by a narrow breakfast bar and has an oven, hobs, microwave, large fridge, toaster and kettle to make self-catering easy. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Outside Space
The balcony runs from the living room to the bedroom and there is a small table with two chairs for alfresco dining or for practising the art of the apéro. It overlooks the historic Jardin Bonaparte, which allegedly welcomed Napoleon during his stay here in 1794.

Parking
Parking can be difficult in Nice but there is a nearby car park across Place Garibaldi beneath the Theatre on Promenade des Arts.

 

Neighbourhood

Just a few steps will take you to one of the most eye-catching squares in Nice, Place Garibaldi. No, not famous for biscuits but celebrating the birthplace of the founder of Italy. A large fountain, shady arches, leafy trees and a magnificent choice of cafés and restaurants from which to watch the world go by. Leading off at an angle you will find the animated rue Bonaparte which over recent years has become a wonderful community incorporating both young and old, residents and visitors, artisans, creatives, stylish bars and restaurants and a respectful, tolerant mix reminiscent of Le Marais in Paris. A 5-minute walk takes you in one direction to the Port and in another into the Old Town, and up to the glorious views from Colline du Chateau. The Museum of Modern Art and library behind the square are also the start of the Promenade du Paillon, a long green park which is a lovely walk to the sea front or a destination in itself on sunny days.
