Herons Retreat is set in an idyllic spot with glorious views, overlooking the lush green river meadows with peaceful and content grazing sheep. Beyond the shallow River Honddu is an ancient " Hanging Oak" wood where there is a Heronry dotting the tree tops. There are many pleasant and gentle walks from the door, including along the River Honddu and in the hills beyond. The cottage is carbon neutral, generating electricity from solar panels. The cottage has an enclosed garden which is safe for pets, but the owners do have free ranging chickens, ducks and rabbits.
