A tranquil and relaxing place to explore the heart of Slovakia.
An attic room with a lovely old wooden framed bed opens out onto a small balcony overlooking flowery meadows and old oak woodlands.
Situated on the edge of a protected National Park, our peaceful location offers beautiful woodland walks, wild food foraging, bird-watching, swimming in nearby lakes, and visits to abandoned castles and mystical rock formations.
The vast space all around makes the location very child friendly, whether it be for football, badminton and skittles or to explore the local wildlife and wild flowers. On any wetter days there are jigsaws, board games and books available.
There are many local traditional folk and craft festivals over the summer months with essential sampling of local spirit and cuisine.
You can find all the necessary amenities in the nearby town only 15 minutes drive away.
The UNESCO world heritage town of Banská Štiavnica, famous for its beautiful rich architecture, castle, churches and gold mining past is only a short car journey from the cottage.
Further afield the Low Tatra mountains can be visited within a day trip.
Evenings can be spent around the campfire whilst a warm duvet awaits in either the cottage's guest room or the tipi for the really adventurous.
