TREEHOUSE UP IN THE SAN JOSE HILLS

Then this Treehouse in the hills of Escazu, the IN place of San Jose might be just right!

I'm listing this space for my good friends Juanita and Roy, who have lived and developed the property for over 40 years (please note that both speak English). Beautiful grounds, lots of tropical foliage and flowers, they even have a fruit orchard and grow some organic veggies. You have never seen a hummingbird fly around, here you will!

It's a treehouse in a living tree and space is not abundant, but there is a private terrace on the lower deck, a new mattress on the upper floor accessible by ladder only and you will feel part of your surroundings.
There always a fresh breeze going through the tree and you'll need a sweater or more. Breakfast will be served at the main house, usually on the outdoor terrace of the main house or indoors if the weather is not quite up to task. The treehouse has no kitchen, but Juanita and Roy will add a little cooler to keep a few things fresh, a little rice cooker, which can double to steam some veggies and most importantly, a coffee maker for the first cup in the morning!
The treehouse is ideal for guests that want to enjoy and experience regional cuisine and eat out a lot.

Wifi is up at the main house, but there is some reception at the treehouse. If constant internet is an issue, let me know.

The treehouse, use of the outdoor terrace of the main house. Guests are free to explore the property and observe the many birds and butterflies. There is also fresh fruit on the trees, but please coordinate first.
The garden is also great to catch a nap in the afternoon and catch some sun!

You are up in the hills of Escazu and not in walking distance to the hip parts. So if nightlife is important, this most likely is not the place. There is a direct bus and for those that rent a car it's perfect.

The last stop of the direct bus to Escazu and San Jose is around the bend from the property and takes about 45 min to downtown.

AIRPORT TO TREEHOUSE: We offer a shuttle service from the airport to treehouse for $ 35 one way.
Public transportation is possible by first catching a bus from the airport to San Jose, then in walking distance from the bus terminal is the starting point for the bus to San Antonio de Escazu, El Curio. This is recommendable only for the hardy budget traveler with not so much luggage to carry around.
