If you search online for "praia da Aguda" you'll find this fantastic fisherman's village, with all facilities walking distance and a 15 minute ride by metro/train from Porto downtown.

Here you can find some of the best fresh fish and seafood restaurants located outside Porto, a great beach and a walk/running and bicycle path all the way to Espinho beach. This town has also a salted water pool which is a big attraction in this area.

If you also want to include some historical visits on your holiday, you can take the train to Porto downtown, spend the day visiting the many monuments, museums and other sites that Porto has to offer and then return to the calm and relax beach area of Aguda.
