Chill Beach and Surf Bungalow

Hear the sounds of the ocean, the sea breeze in the cedar trees and feel the history of our beach house bungalow in the First Flight Village. Like us, you will drift away into a mellow mood in the relaxing and comfy cottage, best after a beach day or surf.

The beach house was built in 1982 as a 990 sqft beach bungalow with a loft. It sits on a private and large cut of property in a court. Our favorite room, and sometimes we sleep there to, is the living area because it has an open airy flow, vaulted ceilings and a BigAss Haiku Fan - which feels like a shower of air. The bungalow faces west, so the sunsets are rad. You will enjoy the backyard that has a bunch a private space to grill, have a beer, glass of wine and simply chill out. We did some work in the kitchen to give it a nautical feel and also equipped it with most essentials.

After a day in the sun, you can take some shade in the hammock and later fire up the grill, where Smore's may be in order.

We love our OBX bungalow, its a great house yet it is not perfect and not for everyone. If your looking for a unique place and local experience in a great beach town to relax, chill out, cook and rest your head after the beach then the bungalow checks all the boxes.

We are located just north of the Wright Brothers Memorial, in a peaceful court, where you can take a short, 12 minute, walk or beach cruiser bike to the stunning OBX beaches, stores or a ride on the Sound path.

The Outer Banks is known for some of the best surfing on the east coast. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, a short scenic drive, even goes by the name "Wave Magnet." Imagine yourself driving the coastal highway and pulling up to some clean and fun surf conditions.
