Rental Details
Our beautiful contemporary, country home is situated at the top of a hill in the award winning GALEO Estate and has stunning estuary, sea and mountain views. We are ideally situated being between Nelson and Motueka and close to the thriving town of Richmond and the beautiful coastal village of Mapua. Within a few minutes drive there are cafes/restuarants, wineries, breweries, artists and food producers.
When we built in 2012 we incorporated many eco features so our home is a warm, healthy, energy efficient dwelling sitting aesthetically within its environment.
The two guest rooms, one King and one Queen are both large and luxurious with quality bedding, beautiful ensuites, TV/DVD/USB players, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobes and luggage racks. Guests have free WIFI and one load of washing is free during stay.
The breakfasts are healthy and tasty and can include a number of options: toast and spreads, fruit, cereal, yoghurt and cooked dishes such as eggs cooked as liked, sausages, bacon, pancakes and so on. I really like to find out what people would like. An optional tasting platter is available on night of arrival.
Our home is full of beautiful artwork in different mediums, a lot of which has been purchased in the 'top of the south'. There are places to sit and relax to look at the beautiful books or simply gaze at the stunning views. The Spa pool is a great place to relax at night and look at the twinking stars and the lights of Nelson. On cool evenings the outside fireplace is fun to sit around and have a glass of wine or maybe toast marshmallows.
