This ancient and spacious village house has a charming ambience and is located in an exciting area full of rivers, castles, caverns and sunny little villages; surrounded by vineyards with the Pyrenees in the background. Mediterranean beaches are just an hour's drive away, and you're in the perfect location for a daytrip to Spain. The whole area offers canoeing, hydrospeed and rafting as well as mountain biking, hiking and climbing. Our house has three levels. Downstairs, a door opens towards a gate that gives access to the garden with a lawn and a covered terrace. There is a fence at the end and you can see woods and hear the river from here. Follow the stairs down and you come to a lovely fishing spot and place to play. This is a good place to cool off, build dams and fish. You might also hear the neighbour's chickens now and then; he sells the eggs, which are delicious! There is a beautiful beach on the river just a ten-minute walk away, and a bit farther on there is a campground where you can rent canoes or go horseback riding. There is a shared swimming pool less than 5 km away, which is free for visitors staying in this village house. A unique opportunity to live in an authentic village, where you can walk to the baker's and the butcher's in the morning and grab a cup of coffee at the restaurant on the way back.
